INTEGRATED CIRCUITS &   MICROSYSTEMS PACKAGING

Integrated Circuits and Microsystems Packaging (ICMP) MTech program at IIT Hyderabad is an interdisciplinary postgraduate engineering program under the centre of interdisciplinary programs that develops manpower and technopreneurs in the area of IC Packaging. Semiconductor ICs are the backbone of the current revolution in electronics and computing. The Indian government has recently launched India Semiconductor Mission with a vision to enable India's emergence as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and design.

A glimpse of MTech in Integrated Circuits and Microsystems Packaging

Salient Features of this Program

The goal of this program is to impart interdisciplinary knowledge across the field of Integrated Circuits & Microsystems Packaging

● Departments Involved: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering

Curriculum designed in consultation with the industry

Hands-on training in the state of art design tools and equipment

● Target Industries: Semiconductor Packaging, Design and Fabrication.

● Duration of the course: Four Semesters

We all know that 20% of the world's design engineers come from India, and now the time has come to produce engineers and technicians for semiconductor manufacturing and packaging. I am happy to note that IIT Hyderabad has launched a Mtech course for semiconductor packaging. Such programs will go Amitesha long way in making India a semiconductor talent nation.
